Updates & ownership

Your version is yours. Forever.

ReviewHeron is a one-time purchase — 129 €, with a year of updates included. Here is exactly what happens after that year, in plain terms, with nothing hidden.

What you actually buy

One payment of 129 € gets you ReviewHeron and 12 months of updates & API maintenance from your purchase date. No account, no subscription, no recurring charge — unless you choose one.

The app you bought keeps working — every feature, on every Mac — for as long as you like. An expired update window never disables anything.

So what does “expire” mean?

After your 12 months, your licence simply stops unlocking builds released after that date. The version you have — and every update published during your window — stays yours and keeps running. You are never pushed off the app, only off future releases.

Why a renewal exists at all

We could pretend updates are free, but they are not — and the honest recurring work is not new buttons. It is absorbing Apple’s and Google’s API changes for you. The stores break and move things constantly; keeping the App Store and Google Play pipes working is ongoing maintenance. The renewal pays for that, not for holding features hostage.

When your year is up

Nothing dramatic happens. You have two calm options:

  • Keep your version. Do nothing — it works forever, exactly as it does today.
  • Extend for 39 €/year. Another 12 months of updates & API maintenance. Optional, and far below the original price.
  • Never a subscription. An extension is a one-off. We do not auto-charge you, and skipping it never locks you out.

Checked on your Mac, not on a server

Consistent with ReviewHeron being local-first: your licence and its update window are verified offline, on your machine. No server has to phone home, and nothing about your usage leaves your Mac. Read the privacy details.
